Hertfordshire vc20

The above flower is Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) - it's Hertfordshire’s county flower. It can be seen in profusion in April at the Herts and Middlesex Trust’s Church Hill reserve on Therfield Heath, close to Royston.

The plant on the right is Corn Cleavers (Galium tricornutum) - it's one of several nationally rare arable weeds that survive in the unsprayed section of the Broadbalk experiment at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden.
